The flagship true-peak mastering limiter — lookahead brickwall limiting, four character modes and a live gain-reduction meter. Loud, clean, never over the line.
Yes — the whole DEES TAPE rack is here free, all 11 units as VST3 + AudioUnit for Mac and Windows. But there's a lot more: four paid mastering & tone plug-ins — CLEAN Air, Neo TUBE, C-90 and Chubby Tube — all in the store now. Any 3 for the price of 2.
Free means free — no account, no trial timer, no watermark. If they earn a place in your sessions, Support Deestech. Already on DEES TAPE for Mac & PC? They're built into the VST BOX, no download needed.

BOLD is the mic-pre + EQ that used to cost a rack — a transformer-voiced input stage, a musical HPF and three bands of tone, on a VU you read at a glance. Track through it or print it in. VST3 + AU, Mac & Windows.

NewCassette-tape emulator — wow, flutter, wear and hiss.
NewSource-aware tube saturation & glue for any track or bus.

Each plug-in has its own Mac and Windows download buttons on its card below.
Mac downloads come in two builds, Apple silicon and Intel: pick the one that matches your Mac. Which Mac do you have? Apple menu > About This Mac: Chip: Apple M… means Apple silicon, Processor: Intel means Intel. Needs macOS 11 Big Sur or later. Not sure? Each card also has a universal build link, it runs on both.

Punchy peak compressor, all the way up to NUKE.
The signature squeeze from the DEES TAPE rack. Eight ratios from a gentle 1:1 to NUKE; INPUT drives it in, ATTACK and RELEASE shape the grab, OUTPUT brings the level back, and the gain-reduction LED row shows how hard it's working. A GATE knob closes the noise between phrases.
TipsHigher ratio + faster attack = more aggressive. Match level with OUTPUT.

Final remaster: presence, tone tilt, and stereo width.
The last stage on the DEES TAPE master, on its own. AIR lifts presence up top, WARM ↔ BRIGHT tilts the whole tone in one move, WIDE spreads the stereo image. Made for the master bus, but it sits happily on a vocal or a guitar bus too.
TipsA touch of AIR + a little WIDE on the master.

Tape-echo repeats with gentle wow & flutter.
Three knobs and the tape-echo feel. TIME sets the repeat, FEEDBACK how many, MIX how much — with the gentle wow and flutter that makes the repeats sit behind the source instead of on top of it.
TipsShort TIME = slapback; longer = echo. FEEDBACK sets the number of repeats.

Neve-style console color that warms and glues the signal.
The rack's input stage. DRIVE pushes the signal into a transformer-style curve, IRON thickens the low-mids the way big console iron does, AIR opens a silky top. Put it first in the chain and everything after it sits a little better.
TipsDRIVE 9–11 o'clock = glue; push further for grit. IRON thickens low-mids; AIR adds silky top.

Noise gate: shuts the hiss between phrases.
The DEES TAPE rack gate on its own unit. THRESHOLD sets where it opens, ATTACK how fast it lets a note through, RELEASE how it closes behind it, and RANGE how far down the floor goes when it is shut — from a gentle expander to a hard mute.
TipsSet THRESHOLD just above the room noise, then shorten RELEASE until the tail stops pumping. Pull RANGE back for a softer, expander-style close.

Optical-style leveler — smooth, transparent level control.
The rack's LA-D on its own cream panel. PEAK REDUCTION sets how much the opto element leans on the signal, GAIN makes the level back up, and the VU needle shows the gain reduction as it breathes. Program-dependent release, so it never sounds like it is working.
TipsDial PEAK REDUCTION for 3–6 dB of movement, then make up with GAIN.

Tames harsh 'S' and 'T' sibilance on vocals.
Split-band de-esser from the rack. FREQ sets where the hiss lives, AMOUNT how hard it ducks that band alone, and LISTEN solos the sidechain so you can hear exactly what is being caught. The body of the voice is never touched.
TipsSet FREQ where the hiss lives (4–9 kHz); raise AMOUNT until the ess softens — back off if it lisps.

Shape tone across six bands, 80 Hz to 8 kHz.
The rack's graphic EQ: six faders at 80, 220, 500, 1.2k, 3.2k and 8k Hz, ±12 dB each. Fast tone shaping you can read at a glance — clear the mud, lift the air, done.
TipsCut before you boost. Pull 220–500 Hz to clear mud; lift 8 k for air.

Warm analog tape drive and harmonics.
The rack's tape stage on its own. DRIVE pushes the signal into the tape curve for warmth, glue and harmonics, OUTPUT trims the level back so you can compare fairly. Two knobs, instant character.
TipsDRIVE for saturation, OUTPUT to keep the level even.

Analog chorus for width and shimmer.
Two quadrature-modulated voices, the way the classic dimension boxes did it. RATE and DEPTH set the movement, MIX how much of it you hear, and WIDTH spreads the two voices across the stereo field.
TipsLow RATE + medium DEPTH thickens; raise MIX for lush. Great on guitars, keys, backing vocals.

Vintage spring-reverb tank — drippy and boingy.
Four damped springs into a dispersion pair: the drip, the boing and the splash of a real tank. DWELL sets how long the springs ring, TONE darkens or brightens the tank, MIX blends it under the source.
TipsDWELL sets length, TONE darkens or brightens the tank, MIX blends. Try it on guitar, snare, or vocals.

DEES TAPE for Mac & PC ships every Deestronix effect and CLEAN Air built in — they show up in the VST BOX on every track and the master without a scan. The downloads on this page are for when you want the same units in Logic, Ableton, Reaper or any other DAW.
Mac: the .dmg's installer puts the VST3 in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and the AudioUnit in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. Prefer a per-user install? Drop the bundles into the same folders under ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/ instead.
Windows: unzip and move the .vst3 folders into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Then rescan plugins in your DAW.
Yes — they're built in. DEES TAPE for Mac & PC has the Deestronix effects and CLEAN Air inside the VST BOX with no scan, and the phone app carries the same rack. You only need these downloads for other DAWs.
Any VST3 or AudioUnit host: Logic Pro and GarageBand (AU), Ableton Live, Reaper, Studio One, Cubase, FL Studio, Bitwig, Reason and more. Pro Tools needs AAX, which we don't ship yet.
Yes. No account, no trial timer, no watermark, no “lite” version. If they earn a place in your sessions, Support Deestech — it goes straight into the next build.
Same DSP, ported knob-for-knob from DEES TAPE's FX chain. What you dial on the phone dials the same on your desk.
Rescan plugins in the DAW. Logic and GarageBand only scan AudioUnits at launch, so quit and reopen them. On Windows, check the .vst3 folder landed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, not inside a subfolder.
Both are in the store now, each with a 14-day free trial and one lifetime license for up to 5 computers: CLEAN Air is $29 once and Neo TUBE is $19 once. Mac VST3 + AU first, Windows following — the same key will work there too.
Email deestape@deestechholdings.com with your DAW, OS version and which plugin — a real person reads every message.
Deestech — the same people behind DEES TAPE for iPhone, Android, Mac and PC, Room Studio and Naymi. Made by need, not a boardroom: real tools for real sessions, no dark patterns, no reselling your data. More about Deestech →
